Our client is embarking on an exciting journey to establish a premier auction house dedicated to fine art, antiques, collectibles. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Auction House Manager to lead the setup and operations of our auction house from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:

  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities in the auction industry.

  • Develop a business plan outlining strategies for growth, marketing, and revenue generation.

Operational Setup:

  • Oversee the design and layout of the auction house.

  • Establish operational procedures and protocols for auctions, including cataloging, bidding, and payment processes.

Vendor and Supplier Management:

  • Identify and negotiate with vendors for necessary supplies, technology, and services.

  • Build relationships with artists, collectors, and consignors to source auction items.

Marketing and Promotion:

  • Create and implement marketing strategies to promote auctions and attract bidders.

  • Utilize social media and online platforms to increase visibility and engagement.

Team Recruitment and Management:

  • Hire and train staff for various roles, including auctioneers, appraisers, and administrative personnel.

  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.

Auction Execution:

  • Lead the planning and execution of auction events, ensuring a seamless experience for bidders and consignors.

  • Analyze auction results and gather feedback for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in the auction industry, art sales, or a related field.

  • Strong knowledge of auction processes, valuation, and market trends.

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Proficiency in digital marketing and social media platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Art History, or related field.

  • Familiar with Auction House Operations.

  • Work experience in prestige auction house.
